The Voltage

Voltage is the pressure from an electrical circuit's power source that pushes charged electrons (current) through a conducting loop, enabling them to do work such as illuminating a light.

In Ohm's Law Voltage is represented in letter "V" and measured in volt.
The Voltage is directly proportional to the Resistance and Current.
In Mathematical Equation Wink

V= I*R
Where:
V= Voltage
I= Current
R= Resistance

in the good example of Ohm's Law is the water tank where the Water flow is the Current, the size of the water pipe is the Resistance and the Voltage is the pressure that push the water.
The higher the current the higher the voltage

Example in Calculating the Voltage Wink

1. Calculate the amount of the Voltage for 0.007 A through 5000 Ω.

Given:
I= 0.007 A
R= 5000 Ω
V= ?

Solution:

V= IR
V= 0.007 A* 5000 Ω
V= 35 V

Current is the flow of electricity in a circuit and is measured in amps, resistance which is measured in ohms, is the thing that slows current down in a circuit. Ohm's Law is that more voltage creates more current and more resistance creates less current.

Yes, because it can cause premature failure of electrical and electronic components in circuit boards due to overheating like for example if the voltage was too high, there is a point where the voltage level supplied can be so high as to damage a motor but this level is far higher than that for electronics while if the voltage was too low , there is a tendency that it can't supply the right amount of voltage that it needed for a component to be able to use.

There is a big difference between how high the voltage and how low it is. It may affect a lot with the circuit if you connect a high voltage even if its only need to have a low voltage. We should always check the voltage before we connect it to the circuit.

low-voltage cabling—such as telecommunications, security or video—is not strong enough to cause a fatal electric shock. The bad news is there still are very real safety risks when performing low-voltage installations.

Why do we say V=IR, why don't we say VR=I, because if V is directly proportional to I, then I is directly proportional to V and can't we write then I=VR?

A calculation shows that the electron is traveling at about 2,200 kilometers per second. That's less than 1% of the speed of light, but it's fast enough to get it around the Earth in just over 18 seconds

EMF stands for electromotive force and is a measure of the difference of electrical potential between two points. The strength of an electromotive force is measured in the unit "Volts"

The current is five times ding mag iincrease, beacause if the voltage increases the current also increases. Smile

Yung voltage kase siya yung nag pupush ng current to flow over the circuit so kapag wala yung voltage how can a current move? Smile Smile

We're looking for the voltage. If you use I = VR , it means you're looking for I, there is an appropriate and right formula for I. VR = I means your looking for VR. VR doesn't stand for anything so why look for it.

Voltage is very important because it pushes the current so that it can flow. Smile

Well maybe it differs only dun sa amount nang voltage na ginamit dun sa parallel and series.. ibig sabihin it can affect a parallel and a series if the amont of voltage is higher or lower. Smile
